I have finished the book and I can see where the thought could be that Kenner is actually Micheal Crichon's input. The last few chapters the characters expose alot of their views of what they feel should happen about the environment. Then Micheal has a few pages where he talks about his research and he new found beliefs and they are similar to those of the character Kenner in the book. But Gordon Morton that turns out to be truely alive shares his beliefs. The part where the actor Ted gets eaten alive is grosse. You could have warned me!! Watch out Robin!!

This book is a real interesting one. The concepts will make you question if anything you read in the news papers or see on the news is real or being fabricated to seem as though it is real. The book has many references on each page making it feel very legitimate. It will be interesting to follow up on the references and see how much difference has been created in the making of this book or is it a reality?

State of Fear

One of the things that concern me is how people are creating these machines to damage the earth and seem to always be under no raidars except for Kenner and Sanjong. These machines are sometimes very big and all are very powerful. You would think that someone would notice what is going on and report it. Unless the government realy already knows and is in support of the so called projects happening. Many lives seem to be in danger at the cost of just trying to create fear. As this story unfolds it seems to be a real reasonable situation that very well could be happening everywhere. It reminds me like the old professor stated of fads and trends. Just because soso said does not always make it right.

State of fear

In the book Is Kenner character fleshed out to where he's an actual character (i.e. physical, mutual description, nearly life like) or is he more like the voice of Micheal Crichton? What is the signifinance of you response?
In the book he is given physical characteristics: horned glasses, middle aged, and balding hair.
I am not sure if he represents the voice of Micheal Crichton because I do not know enough about Micheal to say one way or the other. Unless at the end of the book Micheal gives a impression on his feelings, I have around 50 more pages to read. The book gives Kenner a since of importance and being a very intillegent. He always has an answer for the so called fears or concerns people are campaigning about. He is not convinced that global warming is a issue that warrants so much concern. He feel that it is just used as a tool to make people scared and give lots of money. He seems to be connected just about everywhere. He also knows what the opponents are up to, like bombs in the snow, creating lightening storms. Now they are flying to where they are creating a hurricane.
